Monocoque (MQ) Design
The BG MQ Series features Daiwa's innovative Monocoque body construction, replacing the traditional two-piece body and sideplate design with a one-piece frame and screw-in engine plate. This design reduces body flex and twisting under load while creating a more compact, rigid, and sealed housing for the gearing system. By eliminating the sideplate, MQ technology enhances overall strength, improves sealing performance, and delivers a more streamlined reel profile.
ABS Longcast Spool
Equipped with Daiwa's LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS) spool technology, the BG MQ Series is designed to maximise casting performance. The lightweight spool design and optimised lip shape have been shown to increase average casting distance by approximately 5% compared to conventional spool designs.
ATD Drag System
Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag (ATD) system provides smooth and consistent drag performance from the moment a fish is hooked. The specialised drag grease maintains low viscosity at rest and instantly increases viscosity during drag start-up, reducing initial resistance and delivering a more controlled and responsive drag experience throughout the fight.
