The Daiwa 21 TD Black MQ 2500-S Light Spinning Reel combines understated styling with advanced design and performance, taking the TD Black series to a new level. Built using Daiwa’s advanced ZAION V material and Monocoque Body (MQ) construction, the reel is lighter, stronger, and more precisely engineered than previous generations. The MQ design features a rigid single-piece body structure that allows for larger internal gearing components while also improving overall sealing and durability.
At the heart of the TD Black MQ are two key technologies: the Monocoque Body and the newly developed ZAION V construction. Together, they create a lightweight yet highly rigid reel body designed to maximise strength without adding unnecessary weight. This refined construction also enhances protection against the elements, making the reel more durable in harsh fishing environments.
To further improve longevity and reliability, Daiwa has incorporated Magseal technology into the reel body. This magnetic oil sealing system helps prevent the intrusion of water, salt, and dust, protecting the internal components from wear and corrosion. Inside, the reel features Daiwa’s Tough Digigear system, which is stronger and more durable than previous gear designs thanks to a larger main gear diameter and increased gear tooth size, delivering exceptional smoothness and power under load.
Casting performance has also been enhanced through Daiwa’s Long Cast ABS (LC-ABS) spool design. By improving the way line flows from the spool during casting, LC-ABS technology helps anglers achieve greater casting distance with improved control.
