Swimming Action & Fishing Techniques
A Slender Profile. Fast Tail Action. Natural Baitfish Movement.
The Atomic Real Baitz Garfish is designed to imitate the distinctive swimming behaviour of a fleeing garfish, a natural baitfish targeted by many larger saltwater predators.
Its streamlined body profile creates a realistic silhouette, while the combination of tight wobble and fast tail action produces an enticing swimming movement during the retrieve.
With its 58g precision-balanced weight distribution, the lure also sinks naturally when paused, creating another opportunity to attract predators following the baitfish imitation.
Pro Tips for Better Results
- Tip 1 – Slow and Steady Retrieve: Recommend a controlled, steady retrieve to allow the lure's tight wobble and fast tail action to work naturally.
- Tip 2 – Add Occasional Rod Lifts: Introduce gentle rod lifts and short pauses to vary the swimming depth and imitate the unpredictable movement of a fleeing or injured baitfish.
- Tip 3 – Fish the Drop: Allow the lure to sink naturally during pauses, giving predators an opportunity to strike as it descends through their feeding zone.
- Tip 4 – Maintain Your Gear: After saltwater sessions, rinse the pre-rigged Gamakatsu hook and hardware thoroughly with fresh water and dry before storage to help maintain hook sharpness and minimise corrosion.
